Roofing
We use Ultraframe Roofing structures to support the roofs on all our orangeries and conservatories. The Ultraframe roofing system was the first to pass the rigorous testing regime applied by the government backed independent testing agency, the British Board of Agrèment (BBA), which gave the roofs ‘a life expectancy of at least 25 years’. Ultraframe was also the first company to achieve an ISO9001/2 Quality Assurance accreditation for the design, manufacturing and supplying of their roofing systems. All our Ultraframe roofs are made to measure for you at Prefix systems
For our orangeries, on the flat roof aspects we use Firestone Rubber Sheeting Compound, which has been designed especially for flat roofs. We use an Ultraframe lantern roof structure and then use Reflex glass in the lantern roof.

Trims
We offer a wide range of Ultraselect roofing trims to complement your conservatory roof. These trims simply click on and off and so can be changed when you require to give your conservatory a new look.

use 24mm or 28mm glass units, which have a ‘U’ value of approx 2.8, depending on the roof design. Polycarbonate roofing sheets are shatterproof, lighter and stronger than glass and the 25mm six wall, used by Lifestyle, have a ‘U’ value of 1.5. The lower the figure the more thermal efficient. Both glass and polycarbonate roofing sheets are secured with glazing security beads.

We use Reflex® glass in the construction of our conservatories, which reflects 75% of heat; making them cool in summer and warm in winter.
Reflex® glass sealed units has a very low U value. The U value is a measure of how well the building material retains heat, the lower the figure the better.
We can install glass with U values of 0.9 and even 0.5. We also install stained glass, lead designs and bevelled glass patterns.
